Full Circle: Guest Lecture At FIT
Returning to the Fashion Institute of Technology—this time as a speaker—was more than a professional milestone. It was a full-circle moment.
FIT is where my foundation was built: not just in design, but in discipline, clarity, and the pursuit of vision. It’s where I learned to ask questions that matter—about construction, about concept, and about what it means to express identity through form.
During my talk, I had the privilege of speaking with a group of passionate, thoughtful students about building a fashion business in today’s evolving landscape. We discussed everything from sourcing materials and defining brand identity to the power of social media and what it truly means to stay creative while leading a company.
What stood out most? Their curiosity. Their openness. And their hunger to carve their own paths—not just follow trends.
Sharing my journey—from FIT student, to launching Miguel Antoinne—reminded me that success isn’t a straight line. It’s layered, personal, and built on the quiet work no one sees.
To the students: thank you for your questions, your energy, and your vision. The future of fashion is in thoughtful, fearless hands.
